It’s hard to believe that we’re about half-way through first grade! It has truly been a delight to have your child in my classroom this year. I absolutely love seeing their beautiful faces everyday! As the holiday season approaches, I hope that you and your family create wonderful memories and traditions that your children will appreciate as they get older.
As for this week, we will not have a homework packet, spelling words, a math fact quiz or reading groups. We will have our Christmas Party this Friday, December 16th. Everyone's invited!!! Don’t forget to send in the food item assigned to you (a letter was sent home today). We will be dismissing at 11:00 a.m. on Friday!
We are going to be studying Christmas Around the World this week. We are excited about "rocking around the world" to visit new countries and discover ways that children celebrate Christmas.
We will also be having our annual, "Polar Express Pajama Day" on Thursday. Your child may wear his/her p.j.'s to school. I also told them if they would like to bring slippers, put them in backpacks to change into at school. One stuffed animal is also allowed.
Only 4 ½ days… :)
Love,
Ms. Meadors
