We had a GRAND time with our grandparents last Friday! Your kiddos used their manners, were very respectful and had a great time playing games with their grandparents! We sang a little song to our grandparents and then had some very yummy snacks!
Small Guided group reading began today and was a SUCCESS! We had a great time meeting our new reading group teacher. Don't forget to read with your child and sign the book log found in the ziploc bag.
Here is a little glance at our week:
Reading: Our story this week is, Get the Egg!. We will be working on looking for realism and fantasy components in our stories this week. Our phonics skills this week are short e and initial blends.
Math: We are finishing up Topic 3 (addition) and having a test on Tuesday. We will begin Topic 4 (subtraction). Practice basic addition problems (math facts 0 - 10) with your child using flash cards or objects.
Science: We are studying different types of habitats for the next couple of weeks. I hope that your child has begun the "thinking process" for his/her animal habitat project. We will be discussing it further in class.
Dates to look forward to:September 28 Scholastic Book order dueSeptember 29 Open House
September 30 Play at Lee University
