We are having a great week so far! Monday has been full of learning new words, following directions, and having fun while doing it all!
Gracelyn is our STAR this week! We loved hearing all about her this morning.
HOMEWORK PACKETS are being sent home today!!! Do NOT complete the whole packet in one night. Work on it throughout the week with your child. It is due back to school on Friday. If your child gets finished with it early, you may send it in their folder to return to school.
Our spelling words were introduced today. We are working on the short "a" family. Our spelling words go along with this skill. Please review the spelling words daily with your child. We will have a spelling test on Friday! Also, check out my SPELLING page on my blog. I'll post the spelling list along with a website to help your child review the words.
Please have your child bring in a small to medium-sized smooth rock by Thursday. We are going to be making "pet rocks" while we learn about pets needs this week. Make sure that the rock isn't too big! I want the rock to be about the size of your child's palm.
In math this week, we will be going through lessons on numbers 0 - 12 and learning many different ways we use numbers in our every day life.
If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate! Have a wonderful week!
Love,
Ms. Meadors
